Partners and Supporters
The HBGTP is managed by English Heritage.
English Heritage is very grateful for the support of the National Garden Scheme, through a transformational pledge of £125,000 for three years, which will enable seven trainees per year to participate in the training programme.
The National Garden Scheme supports a variety of garden training and apprentice schemes. Each year they raise remarkable amounts of money by opening private gardens in England, Northern Ireland, Wales, and the Channel Islands.
The HBGTP is also supported by a range of trusts and individuals including the Royal Horticultural Society Bursaries Scheme, the Barbara Whatmore Charitable Trust, the Worshipful Company of Gardeners of London Charity and The Stanley Smith (UK) Horticultural Trust. The Heritage Lottery Fund (now The National Lottery Heritage Fund) provided foundational support towards the programme.
We thank all our partners and funders for their generous support.

Our Ambassador
We are delighted to welcome Alan Titchmarsh MBE as the new ambassador for the HBGTP. Alan became an apprentice gardener with his local council at 15 – an experience that helped inspire him to begin his incredibly successful career as a gardener, broadcaster and writer.
