Former HBGTP trainee becomes National Trust’s first ever scholar
One of our recent graduating HBGTP trainees, Claire Margetts, has recently become the National Trust’s first ever horticultural scholar.
Claire spent her HBGTP placement at Aberglasney Gardens before graduating in August 2022.
Claire has now started work at Sissinghurst Castle Garden in Kent, where she will spend the next 18 months gaining practical hands-on experience as part of the scholarship.
Most of our trainees either gain employment in horticulture or continue with their education after graduating. We are pleased to be able to share success stories such as Claire’s.
