Formal Victorian Garden with Orchard house/glass house ranges, carpet bedding, herbaceous borders, Dahlias, seasonal planting. Largest Rock garden in Europe, Rhododendron collections, valley garden and pinetum. General Historical Garden horticultural practices – including visitor interface, Carpet bedding, seasonal displays, propagation, project development of a new rose garden and valley gardens.

Cragside was created very largely by three remarkable Victorians – its owners, William and Margaret Armstrong, and their architect, Richard Norman Shaw. Many mature specimens dating back to their first introduction to the country.

NMW, 25 days holiday, 37.5 hour week – will include weekend and bank holiday working.
