This is predominantly a field-based training day looking at the management of flower-rich meadows and the techniques used to establish new meadows or to enhance existing grasslands. Seed specification, sowing rates, site preparation, sowing, plug planting and conservation management, including grazing, will be considered.
This day will also review the science and practice of seed collecting, preservation, after-care and use including a demonstration of brush harvesting.
