HBGTP Supervisor and Mentor Seminar 2023

We are pleased to report the success of our annual Supervisor and Mentor seminar. Supervisors and mentors are crucial to the trainee experience, providing the skills and support to oversee the traineeship in the placement garden.

Held in the beautiful grounds of Wrest Park in Bedfordshire, the day is designed to bring colleagues together and equip them with the skills to successfully host a trainee through their 12-month placement. Support, guidance and training helps to ensure the best experience for not only the trainees, but for the garden teams too.

The HBGTP is supported by the National Garden Scheme (NGS), so we were very pleased to welcome the Chief Executive, George Plumptre, who gave a brief presentation about the NGS and how it supports gardeners and the HBGTP.

With special thanks to the staff at Wrest Park for accommodating us, to the NGS for supporting us and to the Head Gardeners and garden team members who attended.
