Trainee Seminar 2022

31 October, 2022

This year’s Trainee Seminar was held in West Sussex where our new HBGTP trainees spent four jam packed days visiting gardens, attending seminars and taking part in group activities.

The seminar was attended with fellow trainees from the MacRobert Trust and was in partnership with the PGG.

Tours and talks were kindly given by horticultural professionals at the following gardens:

As well as visiting the gardens, the trainees took part in various group activities such as an interview techniques masterclass, an expert panel discussion and a lecture by Tony Kirkham on his life at Kew Gardens.

A big thank you to all of the horticultural professionals who gave us their time, to the garden staff who welcomed us and showed us around, and to the Lodge Hill Centre in West Sussex, for providing excellent hospitality. Also, a special thank you to the RHS for supporting the trip.
