Natalie’s Tulip Extravaganza

Natalie Angus, our trainee at Biddulph Grange, recently traveled to the Netherlands. She reports back below:

In late April this year I was lucky enough to take a trip to the Netherlands to visit bulb producers, Keukenhof  – a spectacle of mass planting, and one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. My trip was funded by the RHS bursary scheme and The Stanley Smith Horticultural Trust. I learnt so much in such a short amount of time including how to manage and plant up huge schemes, production horticulture and storage techniques, as well as seeing more Tulips in one week than I have in my life!
