Eaton Hall

Location: Eccleston, Chester

Website: Eaton Hall website

Eaton Hall sits at the heart of the Eaton Estate which is an 11,000 acre estate with 88 acres of gardens. The history of the Estate can be traced back to early 1440, and it is the home of the Grosvenor Family.

The garden has undergone redevelopment by the current Duchess working with designer Arabella Lennox-Boyd and the garden team.

The garden consists of a kitchen garden, glasshouses, rose gardens, herbaceous borders, wildflower areas, formal and informal lawns, and a conservation and lake management project. We work to a high standard to keep the garden looking its best and it is very much about team effort. We open the garden four times a year to raise money for nominated charities and last year helped raise £66,000 with 11,000 visitors. Open days are an opportunity for staff to meet and talk to other enthusiastic gardeners and receive welcome feedback.

As a trainee you will work within our various teams, allowing you to learn all aspects of horticultural practice throughout the gardens and the different areas.
