Largest Rock garden in Europe, Rhododendron collections, valley garden and pinetum. Cragside was created very largely by three remarkable Victorians – its owners, William and Margaret Armstrong, and their architect, Richard Norman Shaw. Many mature specimens dating back to their first introduction to the country.
